Western Europe – is part of Europe, which geographically includes the territory of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Great Britain and Ireland. During the Cold War under Western Europe understood the capitalist countries of Europe, which opposed the socialist countries of Eastern Europe. Today it is often used for the member countries of the European Union and NATO.
