Spanish speaking countries in Europe
Probably for the majority Spain is only Lorca, Picasso, bullfighting and, of course – flamenco. Good wine, passionate men, a paradise for unloved women! And the fantastically delicious cuisine and hospitality. Here all have the opportunity to discover the rich heritage of monuments, see the traces of ancient civilizations that have survived with its dazzling sky. Look at the famous Roman aqueduct, about which spoke the teachers of history. Stand under the arches of Gothic cathedrals, to compare the experiences, looking at them in a textbook on the history of art. Sit in the tower of a medieval castle, waiting for a knight who comes to steal the lady of his heart. Spain – the birthplace of great artists, poets, musicians, and it permeated the whole art of love life! Everyone who has been to Spain is infected with this enthusiasm for life.
Like a fortress, built by giants with their hands, stands the Spanish earth on the seas. On three sides the Atlantic waves surround Spain and on the fourth is the Mediterranean Sea. And from the north is France. I think no country in the world has in the separate provinces the diverse climate, no country but Spain. In XIX century it hardly ranked as Europe and was little visited, because it is separated from Africa, only by a narrow strait, and its inhabitants looked unkindly on foreigners, calling them indiscriminately “Ingleses” (“English”). Now, the country forms part of our continent, at Spain eagerly gaze of all nations.
Moreover, it is separated from neighboring France by exorbitant mountains, passing through the whole of Spain with a few interruptions, but also its shores are lapped by the sea, and thus form a natural fortress. It is clear that in this geographical location, this vast state pursued its own objectives, there was little available to alien culture and suspiciously looked at all sorts of innovations.
The northern part of Spain with its snowy peaks and plateaus has the same temperature for the most part, similar to the climate of southern Germany, where winter is not uncommonly cold. In the southern provinces, on the contrary, shines the eternal sun, smiles eternally blue skies and even blows, the warm air, lemons and oranges, and palm trees grow luxuriously. Figs and dates can be seen amongst the greens, thick fences surround the aloe lush gardens, flower grenade.
